Everest College was established in 1985 with the vision of providing accessible and quality higher education to students from rural and semi-urban communities. The institution was founded through the dedicated efforts of local educationists, philanthropists, and community leaders who envisioned an institution that would promote academic excellence along with social responsibility.
The college initially commenced its academic activities in a temporary building with a limited number of undergraduate programmes. With the growing demand for higher education, the institution gradually expanded its infrastructure, academic programmes, and student facilities. The present campus was developed in phases and now provides a spacious and conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, sports, and extracurricular activities.
Everest College has a 12-acre campus comprising academic blocks, administrative offices, laboratories, a central library, computer laboratories, seminar halls, sports facilities, and student-support centres. The institution offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Computer Applications. The college continuously reviews its academic programmes in accordance with the changing needs of students, industry, and society.
